The Human Rights Coalition works to imagine and obtain a U.S. without prisons. Our Pittsburgh group, HRC FedUp!, holds weekly letter writing nights to correspond with people in prison. Upon seeing a photo of London buses bearing ads that say "Some people are gay. Get over it" a friend said "Can you imagine seeing that on a PAT bus in Pittsburgh?" My response was "Yes, it is high time." This meetup is an exploratory meeting to discuss ways to make it happen. I would also like to see this on Westmoreland Transit and Uniontown busses as these areas tend to be less accepting.
